What to do 

It is considered one of the most beautiful and important caves in all of Sardinia.

The Grotta del Fico is located in Baunei, inside the Monk Seal was studied for the first time, habitual inhabitant of the caves in the area (if you are lucky you can also see them).

The cave opens 10 meters above sea level, in the beautiful limestone wall of the Gulf of Orosei, visiting it with the various organized boat trips is a truly unique experience.

The visit lasts about 45 minutes and along the walkways of the two galleries you can admire the calcareous concretions, stalactites, stalagmites and columns, of very different sizes and colors: a unique spectacle, like that of the play of lights and transparencies created in its internal paths.

A few hundred meters from our Village, reachable on foot with a walk of about 30 minutes starting from the beach in front of our entrance, we arrive at the Torre di Barì, the splendid Spanish Tower, located between the two portions of the long beach.

It stands on a small cliff and was built as a lookout post at the end of 1500. In the past, the northern part was called the "Sea of men" (Mari de is ominis) and the southern part "Mare delle Femmine" (Mari de is feminas) ), as in the post-war period the two beaches were frequented separately by men and women.

Our advice is to spend a day at the beach and take a trip to the Tower, easily accessible from the beach, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view.

About 15 minutes by car, also reachable by bus that passes several times a few meters from the village, is Capo Bellavista, the wonderful and imposing granite promontory on which Arbatax stands.

It is a must see place. Completely covered by a dense Mediterranean scrub, Capo Bellavista offers an incredible natural setting, surmounted by a splendid lighthouse and the picturesque Torre di Arbatax, a Spanish construction of the seventeenth century. The lighthouse is one of the most important in Sardinia, also famous for its old French-built lantern.

Next to the port of Arbatax you can admire the fantastic and suggestive red rocks, which emerge marvelously from the sea; instead, on the north-eastern side there is a beautiful panoramic terrace overlooking the splendid Cala Moresca.

The sea is certainly the protagonist of your holiday.

One of the most requested and exciting excursions is a full day boat trip visiting the most isolated beaches and pristine coves with crystal clear sea and nature as a backdrop.

Departing from the Tortolì airfield, you will have the opportunity to fly with one of the pilots of the areoclub to admire the Ogliastra coast from above with its extraordinary views, crystal clear waters, the jagged coast and our camping from above. .

The experienced pilot will make you take breathtaking dips and  low-altitude passages for 30 minutes of pure adrenaline and guaranteed emotions.

Not only sea in Ogliastra. As you may have seen arriving by car at our facility, we are surrounded by an impervious and in many places unexplored Mediterranean scrub.

It is a feature of our coasts that we care a lot about.

You will have the opportunity to take half-day or full-day trips, accompanied by expert guides or even alone, following the indicated paths.

You will be able to admire the splendid hilly, wooded and mountainous landscapes a few km from the campsite, admiring our splendid sea in breathtaking views.
